All Aboard! Edited by: Bria Brannon

8,442 and 8.5 hours later we finally glad into the luxurious Paris, France. I've heard so many stories about Paris, but I am not one to believe solely on everything that I hear. This just made it even more exciting for me to experience Paris for myself. Before I could even begin to start exhuming the modern-day paradise, I had to make it through my first flying experience. We were at an altitude of 34,000+ feet in the air. It was amazing to be so high in the air. Seeing that this is my first flight ever, and that I've never stepped foot in an airport, I knew that I would get lost, and to my dismay I did. Although, there were some good things that came with the tragedy of getting lost in an huge international airport. My mom and I got to ride our first metro-train. Apart from getting lost, the airport experience went fairly well. As I worried about my suitcase being overweight, to my surprise, all my worries were in vain. My suitcase was 30 pounds underweight. I immediately grabbed my bags and it was time to board the plane. It was so surreal to me walking on this huge plane; they are so much bigger than I thought they were in person. Luck was not on my side of obtaining a window seat, but luckily I was not too far from one of my classmates. The French flight attendants were all so helpful and polite. The plane ride like a roller coaster the whole time. There were times when the plane was just cruising, then suddenly my heart sank deep down into my stomach as we randomly dropped altitude. With that happening I was only able to sleep in 30 minute intervals. Waking up in Paris and realizing that plane ride from hell was over with was a great relief. Besides the bumpy plane ride, overall my first experience went well.
